Source code could be developed using plain-text editors like 
*Notepad* (Windows) or *vim* (Linux), but this is not recommended. 
We strongly recommend using an Integrated Development Environment 
(IDE) which supports both Maven and OSGi development. 

The documentation is biased towards Eclipse, but Netbeans or 
IntelliJ should work also.
